Short Codes

Short codes are a handy feature that allow you to implement dynamic content within the content editor. For example, would you like to insert a video on a page without having to use a separate video content item?

They are very easy to use. You can find detailed instructions by clicking a link below any HTML area when you are editing a content item. Just use the examples provided in the instructions to insert a special item within the text in the HTML editor.

Available Short Codes

The following short codes are available:

insertVideo

Displays the Reservoir video player with the video of your choice.

  • file - REQUIRED - URL for video.
  • autostart - start the audio immediately when the page is loaded
  • fullscreen - can the user view the video in fullscreen mode
  • height - size of video player height
  • width - size of video player width
  • posterframe - image that displays on top of video player when page is first loaded (assuming video is not set to autostart)

runActionSet

(Infusionsoft ONLY) - Runs an action set in Infusionsoft when user views the page.

  • IMPORTANT - MEMBER MUST BE LOGGED IN for this run.
  • actionSetId - REQUIRED - action set ID from Infusionsoft
  • runonce - should the action set only run the first time a member views the page or should it run each time a member views the page?

currentdate

Inserts current date into text.

  • dateMask - you can change the date format

currentdatetime

Inserts current date and time into text.

  • dateMask - you can change the date format
  • timeMask - you can change the time format

memberfirstname

Inserts member name into text. Displays the current logged in member's first name. If the user is not logged in, the short code will display 'Prospective Member' in the text.

  • default - if you do not want it to display 'Prospective Member' for a user who is not logged in, you can change the text to whatever you would like it display for the user who is not logged in as a member

memberfullname

Inserts member's first and last name into the text.  If the user is not logged in, the short code will display 'Prospective Member' in the text.

  • default - if you do not want it to display 'Prospective Member' for a user who is not logged in, you can change the text to whatever you would like it display for the user who is not logged in as a member

Using Short Codes

To insert a short code, just use the special characters and formatting outlined in the Short Code Instructions popup.
